Mountains in Romania

Romania is home to some of the most spectacular mountain ranges in Europe, including the Carpathian Mountains and the Apuseni Mountains. The highest peak in Romania is Moldoveanu Peak in the Fagaras Mountains, standing at the height of 2,544 meters (8,346 feet). Other notable peaks include Negoiu Peak in the Parang Mountains, at 2,535 meters (8,314 feet), and Pietrosul Rodnei Peak in the Rodna Mountains, at 2,303 meters (7,556 feet). The Carpathians are particularly beautiful and offer stunning landscapes, with rugged mountains, vast forests, deep gorges, and cascading rivers.
