There are several notable mountain ranges and peaks in Oceania, including the Southern Alps in New Zealand, which includes Aoraki/Mount Cook, the highest peak in New Zealand. The Great Dividing Range in Australia stretches over 3,500 kilometers along the east coast and includes Mount Kosciuszko, the highest peak on the Australian mainland. The Owen Stanley Range in Papua New Guinea is home to the highest peak in Papua New Guinea, Mount Wilhelm. The Cordillera Central in the Philippines includes Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines.
