Mountains in Nigeria
Nigeria is blessed with a variety of majestic mountains. One of the most renowned is the Jos Plateau, located in the center of the country. It is one of the oldest mountain regions in West Africa and home to a diverse array of wildlife and ecosystems. It is the highest mountain range in Nigeria and rises over 1,500 meters above sea level. In the north of Nigeria lies the Chappal Waddi, one of the highest points in the nation, standing at a massive 2,419 meters above sea level. It is the most important mountain in the region, being part of a large chain that runs through Nigeria and Chad.
